A mix of both travelers and locals with food as the focal point.

"Guri" is a dialectal word in this region and refers to a reef where fish congregate. The cafe and bed & breakfast was named after this because the owners wanted to create a place where both tourists and locals can get together. A chic low sofa is placed inside the renovated old folk house, and since it’s located in the iconic fishing village of Ine, the walls have been decorate with a fish motif. The owners have created a cozy space that combines the best of both a quiet café and a lively dining room. You can order a sandwich and desserts that utilize local ingredients. The roll cake is made using Mino poultry farm's egg-flavored dough, which is moistly and carefully baked with fresh fruit. The sandwich is made by frying Ine's specialty fish, and the original sauce balances well with the full-flavored fish. They are thinking about providing pasta and sake in the future, so there is a lot to look forward to at Guri.

from the chef:

I'm from Kanto and moved to this area a few years ago. I was fascinated by the Funaya architecture and the beautiful scenery of Ine Bay。I became aware of it when I was looking for property. The first floor of our business is a cafe/shop, and the second floor is a bed and breakfast. I am happy that not only tourists but locals also stop by frequently. Ine is part of an area full of delicious food, so I try to use local ingredients as much as possible. Since I am good at Italian cooking, I would also like to serve pasta made using local ingredients in the future.
